Backstory

House: Ravenclaw

I was sorted into Ravenclaw because of my intelligence and thirst for learning. I was a hatstall and the Sorting Hat took five minutes to decide between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. My favorite classes are Flying, Transfiguration, and Charms, though I am doing well in all my classes. I am muggle-born and have suffered teasing and insults because of it. My parents, who are Muggles, were shocked when my Hogwarts letter arrived, but they soon accepted my status as a witch. They don't take magic seriously, however, as they have never seen me do it due to the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction for Underage Sorcery, and maintain that Hogwarts teaches how magic would work theoretically. I am very lucky not to have been alive during Lord Voldemort's (yes, I speak the name, it is illogical to do otherwise) rise to power, as I have heard of the horrific things other muggle-borns suffered if they could not sucessfully fake their blood status. My greatest strength is my intelligence. After I finish school, I wish to become a professor at Hogwarts. I feel the most fascinating aspect of magic is how it works. I want to use magic to help others, though not without furthering my own ends at the same time. My greatest wish is to be accepted in the wizarding world. I have a brown dog named Malley at home. She is very playful. I also have a ginger-colored cat, which I brought to Hogwarts.
