Backstory
Hi, I’m HEARTH… Ashley HEARTH. Pureblood witch with parents in the ministry. My mother is one of the top Aurors and she tutors me in defensive magic during the summer. I was obviously sorted in Slytherin, taking after my mother. The hat barely touched my head before it announced my house. My favorite class has got to be Charms, but I’m much better in Defense against the Dark Arts. Potions is tiresome and Muggle studies is boring, but all in all I’m a strait-O (Outstanding) student.
Being a part of a pureblood family I had plenty of pressure. But most of it is self-imposed. I’m ambitious to be top of the hierarchy as well as top of the food chain. Fear and respect work hand in hand. My greatest strength lies in my ability in always getting what I want and reaching all my goals. I don’t back out no matter what. But what most don’t know is that my greatest weakness has always been my lack of self-recognition.
I keep reaching for more and never pause to look back at everything I have accomplished thus far. I’m not sure yet, but I do want to continue to follow my mothers footsteps and become an Auror.
I like how every spell can be used for both good and bad. It really comes down to the morals of each individual witch or wizard. Personally I think I can use my magic to help others, all the while gaining more for myself. If I’m being honest with myself… I just want everyone’s recognition. As I said earlier, I don’t recognize my successes myself so I constantly need others to inform me of my greatness and prowess. I have two pets, a cat named Princess, she’s a real sweetheart and basically lets anyone pet her. Sometimes I like to tell myself that she’s trying to make me jealous by spending time with others; Then there’s my owl Wynter. She is a storm of feathers. Swooping in arcs and dances in the sky, showing off her skills for all to see before FINALLY giving me whatever she was meant to deliver to me. My mother is a Parseltongue… or so she says. I haven’t really tried exactly, but you never know… especially in a place like Hogwarts.
