Backstory: Athena's father was a Muggle, who, upon learning of her mother's magical powers, left her, without even bothering to wait for her being born. He never contacted them since. Athena held a little resentment for her father, feeling sad that he never tried to get to know her, but she got over it very quickly, considering she never had any emotional attachment to her father. Her mother, Delilah Nightshade, is a renowed authority on magical creatures, and holds a high position in the Ministry of Magic. Athena and her mother lived in a nice apartment in London, quite close to Diagon Alley.
When Athena recieved her Hogwarts letter, her mother set preparing right away, having no reservations about the school.
Athena herself dreams about becoming an expert Potioneer. Her life revolves around her pet cat, Carmen, her owl, the massive horde of unread books she has brought with her to the school, her studies, and chocolate. She loves sneaking out at night past curfew to go up to the Astronomy Tower and stargaze, while munching on snacks. Another favourite hobby of hers is to go down to the Black Lake in the evenings, and sit in between the branches of an oak tree she picked out as she doodles the scenery before her.
She often stays up reading and then goes down to the Common Room when everybody is asleep. She also adores butterflies, Arabic and Persian, coffee, the moon, stars, orchids, roses, daydreaming, Greek Mythology, quoting Greek Mythology and other things she has read up on. She knows how to speak Turkish, has merely bunked three classes in her life, and is a huge procrastinator.
