Alya (Lya) Black

Backstory

Hey, my name is Alya Black (but you can just call me Lya). Twin sister of Sirius Black, elder sister of Regulus Black, and daughter of Walburga and Orion Black.

Of course, growing up in “The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black”, my parents were constantly trying to force their ridiculous, pureblood supremacist views on me and my brothers.

So, when I turned 11 and finally got my Hogwarts Acceptance Letter, I was overjoyed! Of course, I had already read as much about Hogwarts as I possibly could (not to mention how many times I’ve read “Hogwarts: A History”) however, it simply did not do the magnificent castle justice!

Anyway, it was finally my turn to be sorted, and I was absolutely ecstatic when I was placed in Gryffindor! (Along with Sirius!) Sirius and I have always been the Black Sheep of the Black Family – the rebellious two. My parent's expectations of us being sorted into Slytherin were met with huge disappointment, and quite frankly, it was fun. Sirius and I both got howlers the next morning, but still fun.

During the course of the next few weeks, we became friends with 3 other boys (James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew) and soon enough we were known around the school as the marauders. We were also all animagi, except for Remus (Moony) who is a werewolf.  James is a stag (Prongs), Peter is a rat (Wormtail), Sirius is a black dog (Padfoot), and I'm a phoenix (Ash).
