Backstory
Months before my father mysteriously vanished, I was unceremoniously handed over to Severus Snape - an old friend of his and former Death Eater. I never understood why, but now I find myself at Hogwarts, sorted into Slytherin like the rest of my noble Black family.
Being a descendant of the infamous Blacks carries a certain weight. People expect me to be cunning, ambitious, and above all, loyal to the cause of pure-blood supremacy. But I've never fit that mold. I'm more interested in books than pureblood politics. I'd rather spend my days in the library than plotting with the other Slytherins.
To make matters worse, I've caught the eye of the Dark Lord's most loyal followers. They see my connection to Snape as a valuable asset. But I want no part in their schemes. I just want to get through my years at Hogwarts unscathed and figure out what happened to my father.
As the only black sheep in Slytherin, I'll have to use every ounce of cunning I possess to navigate the treacherous waters of Hogwarts and the looming threat of the Death Eaters. All I know is, I'm in for one wild ride.
