Backstory
It was a bright and sunny Saturday morning in April. I slouched down the stairs slowly, and into the homey kitched, smelling bacon. As I sat down at the table, my mother laid down a plate in front of me. Tea in hand, I walked to the window, brightenening a bit and remembering that it was Spring Break, and that I would be getting the next week off of school. Looking up at the clear blue sky, I saw something in the distance. It looked like a huge bird. I slipped on shoes and ran outside into the cool, humid air. The thing came closer, it was obviously weighted down by something. Now I could fully see it. It was a large tawny owl, flapping its wings furiously and flying toward my house. And on its leg was a ribbon attached to a bulky, weathered envelope. My Hogwarts acceptance letter! I am now a first year Ravenclaw attending Hogwarts. I work hard in all my classes, but my favorites are Charms and Potions. I hope you all enjoy Hogwarts as much as I do!
