Backstory
When I got my Hogwarts letter, my parents were ecstatic and started bickering about which house I'd be sorted into. My dad, a Slytherin pure-blood, and my mum, a Gryffindor half-blood, have always bickered as far as I can remember. My dad wanted me to be raised in a strict way and mum shut that down quick. Sometimes, I wonder if they are my parents.
When asked about how they found each other, dad always laughed and mum she'd blushed before whispering under her breath that would have my dad stop laughing and looking sheepish. They would always tell me that dad saw her one day from afar, a first year Gryffindor standing up to a third year Slytherin who was bullying a first year Slytherin. She had stopped everyone in their tracks when she started poking the third year in the chest talking to them about being a coward and how they possibly felt like crap in their life if they were choosing to pick on a first year from their own House. She then pointed to dad and yelled at him about standing around with his mouth agape while a fellow first year was being bullied and called him some names I'm not allowed to repeat.
Dad was infatuated with mum and then after having most of their classes together it turned into more by their fifth year. Mum always laughs when remembering how dorky my dad was stumbling over his words trying to ask her out. Mum said they always had it hard though between their peers and parents. Dad's parents didn't like mum for not being a pure-blood and mum's parents didn't like dad's parents view on things.
When mum and dad got married, my grandparents eased up on each other's views and realized that mum and dad were made for each other. Mum helped dad be a better person and dad helped mum stay grounded. I want to grow up with their vaules. My parents taught me no matter what House I'm sorted into always stick up for people when no one else will regardless of their past or their parents past.
