Backstory

When the miraculous letter arrived, my house was abuzz. Mum sank into an armchair and rubbed her forehead while Da held the letter gingerly as if the smallest move would make it disappear. But the letter was real and soon the wizarding world was too. The crooked shops lining the streets were bustling as wizards and witches of all shapes and sizes hurried up and down diagonal alley; and kings cross station seemed different as troves of odd people fell into platform 9 3/4. Suddenly hogwarts was right there! The sorting hat was on my head for eternity with a hatstall... then the call of “Ravenclaw!” issued from the hat and my life truly began.
