Hey, I’m Ella. HiH is a place full of Harry Potter fans that want to learn more, and I’m one of them. I am so excited to make friends and share stories here. I can’t wait to take my Harry Potter journey with the help of my old and new friends.

One morning in July I woke up with a letter on my windowsill. I looked out the window and saw an owl flying away. I carefully picked up the envelope, hoping it was what I thought it was. I ripped off the seal and looked into it. I grabbed the letter and skimmed through the parchment, my vision getting foggy. My acceptance letter! I was waiting, dreaming for this moment. I was so thrilled. I couldn't wait any longer than a day to go down to the Diagon Alley. I was starting to feel like a real witch.

When I heard my name I jumped out of my seat. I walked over to the stool, trying not to sprint. I was anxious to see what house I would be sorted in. After a few seconds, the sorting hat shouted, “GRYFFINDOR!” I was relieved. I’m in a family of Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors. I would be fine with either, but I agreed with the sorting hat. Gryffindor was a better fit for me. I smiled and walked over to the Gryffindor table with a feeling that this was going to be a great year.
