Backstory
when i first got my letter, i was ecstatic. i had been waiting for the day i received my hogwarts letter since my dad told me about hogwarts and when he went there.
going to diagon alley was sertinley one of the best experiences. i was able to get my wand, books for my classes (im especially excited about charms class), my robes, and everything else i would possibly need for my first year.
and? my dad even let me get a pet! i chose an owl; an owl that looks like if a calico cat got transfigured into an owl. i named her opal, like the crystals—the gems also have a lot of color in them, so i figured that it made perfect sense.
another thing i'm really excited for is quidditch. my dad told me he played for gryffindor; a keeper, if i'm remembering correctly. i'm definitely going to try out.
anyways, what else... oh! i think that i hear the train. i best put my journal away and get ready to board (at least that's what dad's telling me)
