Backstory
Helena Callister was born on June 3, 1980, in a quiet, unremarkable town somewhere in the United States. After the death of her biological parents, both known Death Eaters who had fled Britain following Voldemort’s first downfall, Helena was taken into custody by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. After much debate on where she should be located to, she was later placed under the care of a kind but reclusive American wizarding couple. Her adoptive parents raised her in relative isolation, hoping to shield her from the dark legacy and consequences of her bloodline.
When Helena turned eleven in 1991, she received her letter to Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she was sorted into Thunderbird, known for adventurers and seekers of discovery. Bright and inquisitive, Helena quickly showed a particular aptitude for Defense Against the Dark Arts, a talent that both surprised and quietly worried her adoptive parents, given her family history.
In 1992, after her family relocated to the United Kingdom for work within the Ministry of Magic, Helena transferred to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into Gryffindor. Though it took time to adjust to the British wizarding world, she soon found her place.
