Backstory
My name is Beatrice Kelpis, and I'm a first-year Ravenclaw at Hogwarts. I grew up in England, in a small coastal town, where the sea has always been a big part of my life. My dad, a muggle, studies marine biology, and my mom, who used to go to Hogwarts, works with magical plants. They've both taught me so much about the world, with and without magic!
When I got my Hogwarts letter, I was thrilled and a little nervous, but my mother assured me it were her best years of adolescence. Being sorted into Ravenclaw felt right; I've always loved learning new things and asking questions. My favorite classes so far are Flying and Charms. I spend a lot of time in the library, reading everything I can find about interesting topics on diverse areas.
One of my favorite places is near the lake, where I sometimes sneak off to observe the creatures that live there. My owl, Aquila, is my constant companion, and together we're slowly uncovering the wonders of Hogwarts. I can't wait to see what else this magical place has in store for me.
