The Perfect Student

written by Fey Lovegood

I was always seen as the perfect student. I have always had perfect scores on all my tests and I took every class. When I went to Hogwarts, everyone could see I was the perfect student. I even became friends with the golden trio. Here is my story, which turned out to be a not so happy one.

The letter

My father came and saw I held the letter. ‘I see you have been accepted, Anna. And therefore, Luna and I both have a gift for you. Come Luna, get your gift,’ my father said. They came back with a box and covered cage. ‘Here, open this one first,’ my father said as he handed me the box. In it was a black kitten. Her eyes were as blue as my mother’s were. ‘Thank you! I want to name her Pandora, after mom,’ I said, thinking of my mother who died last year. Then Luna handed me the cage. I uncovered it and saw a brown owl. ‘Your name is Bee,’ I said as I let him out of his cage. He hooted, as if he agreed. ‘Thank you Luna.’ We celebrated the rest of the day with a walk in the woods with Bee. When we got home, Luna and I played with Pandora while my dad was making dinner. It was a good day, but it also was my first birthday without my mom.
