Lesson Three: The Tickling Charm & the Jelly-Legs Jinx Study Guide

Chapter 4

The tickling Charm

In the medieval times, people who were persecuted into telling information were tortured. Tickling was a torture technique that would make a person beg & squirm until they tell what they know. To cast this spell, focus on your rival feeling a tickling sensation. When cast properly, a silver light will be seen. If your rival is not ticklish, they will be blasted backwards.

Incantation: Rictusempra (RICK-tuh-SEM-pra)
Wand Movement: Squiggly lines from left to right
Concentration: Low to moderate
Willpower: Low to high

The Jelly-Legs Jinx

When casted on low willpower, your rival's legs will be unsteady for ten seconds. When casted on high willpower, your rival's leg will be unsteady for three minutes. For beginners, it will take thirty to forty-five seconds. When cast, properly, an orange light will emit out of your wand.

Incantation: Locomotor Wibbly (LOH-cah-MOH-tor WIH-blee)
Wand Movement: Quick squiggles to the left, up, curve right, then down
