Lesson Eight: Kleurvolle Voël Study Guide

Chapter 9

Fwoopers come from Africa. Fwooper can make a person go insane due to their call. The Silencing Charm is used monthly for this reason. They like to eat bird seeds. Until about four to six months, you must do the Silencing Charm once every week. Females lay eggs, whereas males have a sex feather for mating. The pink fwooper is more authoritative. Lime green is authoritative over yellow & orange. Orange is authoritative over yellow. You must have a license to keep them as a pet. If you fail to get a license, you have to wait for sixty days before applying for a license again.

Some sell feathers to make quills & the eggs are used for home decoration. If you do the Silencing Charm wrong, your fwooper will swell up & be louder. Every three months you can pluck two to four feathers for each bird. Feeding fwoopers fruit & vegetables can make a color on their feathers a darker shade. Yellow is best when changing colors. Females will lay one egg per week & it will take twenty-one to twenty-eight days to hatch. Fwooper eggs are softball sized. In Romania, it is a kind thanks of appreciation to give the host of an event a fwooper egg that is fancier than the common colors.

Fun Facts
If the eggs are in an incubator, set the temperature to one hundred & one degrees to one hundred & three degrees fahrenheit.
Uric the Oddball listened to its call for three months & ended up wearing a dead badger to his Wizard Council meeting.
You can eat blue, red, & yellow fwooper eggs that are cooked by boil & over easy. The eggs can be put on toast, potatoes, & meat.
Finch & parakeet seeds are the best for them. However, bigger seeds such as parrot mixes are a bit difficult for them to chow down.
