Lesson Seven: Those Pesky Kids Study Guide

Chapter 8

They live in swamps in Britain & Ireland. They eat leaves, algae, water bugs, frog eggs, & fish eggs. To catch their food, they use movements as well as handmade nets & baskets made from seaweed & sticks. Imps create nests of algae, weeds, & sticks. The nests look like a beaver's dam; the top covered & an entrance. Imps babies stay in the nests for three to five days & then venture out into the world. They can be kept as pets & you don't have to feed them manually. However, you must have rivers or ponds so they can pro-create.

Jobberknolls live in North America & Northern Europe. They like to eat beetles & flies & their feathers will be brighter the more dark-colored their food is. A jobberknoll can be electric blue by ingesting a good balance of light & dark insects. Every two months, Jobberknolls lay two eggs; twelve eggs every year. Males & females sit on the eggs for seventeen to twenty-one days. When one parent dies, the other dies about seventy-two hours later. To feed their young, they use lait. To keep jobberknolls as a pet, you do not need a license. If you notice their health declining, use a Silencing Charm. Jobberknoll feathers can be used to strengthen memory potions & truth serums.

Fun Facts
Imp parents teach their babies how to prank. Pranking gives them magical abilities; the more they prank the stronger of magic they will have.
Imp magic is as strong as house elf's.
Jobberknolls can live up to ten to fifteen years, but can die if they overhear a bad crime taking place.
They will need ten feet by fifteen feet to live & you will need to feed them based on what color you want their feathers to be.
